The Screen Guardians Podcast
Honest Conversations About Raising Kids in a Digital World
The Screen Guardians Podcast brings together parents, educators, brain science experts, and law enforcement to help you navigate the stuff no parenting book prepared you for — screen time battles, social media anxiety, group chat chaos, and everything in between.
You feel it. Something is different about this generation’s childhood.
You’ve watched your kid disappear into a screen. You’ve wondered if the group chat is okay. You’ve Googled “how much screen time is too much” at 11 p.m. and come away more confused than when you started.
You’re not imagining it. And you’re not overreacting.
The digital world our kids are growing up in is unprecedented — and most of us are navigating it without a roadmap. That’s exactly why this podcast exists.
The Screen Guardians Podcast isn’t here to scare you. It’s here to sit beside you — with research, with real stories, and with the kind of calm, grounded guidance that helps you take your next step with confidence.
Not anti-technology. Pro-child.
Meet the Voices Behind the Mic
Host & Founder
Katie is a mother of three, a registered nurse turned digital health advocate, and the founder of The Screen Guardians. She’s testified before state legislatures, built K–12 digital health programs now piloting across multiple states, and she’ll be the first to tell you — she doesn’t have it all figured out either.
That’s the point.
Katie created this podcast because she believes the best protection for kids isn’t control — it’s education. And because no parent should have to navigate this alone.
Contributor
Kevin is a 15-year law enforcement veteran and former detective with the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. He holds a master’s in forensic psychology, advanced certifications from the FBI, and is the father of five.
